thumping felt in reverse

thumping felt in reverse
When I am backing in reverse in a pretty tight turn, I hear and feel a thumping like there is a really bad flat spot on the tires. This is the only time this happens. All other times the Cherokee does fine.This is a 1994 Cherokee Sport two wheel drive with the 4.0 engine. I would appreciate any help.
