I'm looking to run 235 75R 15, usage will be mostly highway/around town , only occasional dirt adventures , no mudding no rock crawling. looking to keep it under $500 out the door

Default Thoughts on street tires...

If the $120 rebate is still available, Kumho AT51 would be near impossible to beat especially with such a budget. Not a street tire, but in my experience, anyone who takes the time to mention going off road, whether they actually ever do or not, isn't likely to actually accept anything less aggressive than an AT tire anyway.

Now that tire is quite interesting, it's both semi aggressive and yet road friendly it seems with a good treadwear warranty , where would this rebate be?

Anywhere. It is a Kumho rebate. http://kumhotireusa.com/owners/tire/...efer=6473_tout I largely prefer using Tirerack.com for all of my tire purchases, and I think they do all of the rebate paperwork for you iirc.

Just a thought...Keep in mind that most "Passenger" rated tires are also rated M&S (Mud and Snow) for a reason A tire does not have to be aggressive to have excellent traction.

The M+S rating is a complete joke and completely valueless. The severe service emblem is at least a little useful, but even it has...deficiencies and loopholes.

Went shopping today, ended up settling on Goodyear Wrangler armortracs, seem to be balanced between street/dirt. good reviews, price matched, and $100 in rebates sealed the deal. They look good, hopefully they perform as well.

Thank you all for the input!

It’s amazing how much your wheels and tires can tell you about the overall health of your suspension, alignment, brakes, etc. If left to progress, these problems can get expensive (and dangerous), so keep an eye to your tires, their tread wear and just how your wheels and tires feel on the road.

Thank you, for that snippet of info that you copied/pasted directly from your business website, and is virtually useless to the question posed.

From the http://myrnrfranchise.com/wheels-and...sonal-oracles/ apparently.

It IS true, though. Tire wear can be an way to identify other problems.

Im actually looking to get a set of "street" tires, my engines getting stroked and turboed in 3 to 4 weeks and im kinda expecting some wheel spin at 350HP so i think a cheaper set of driving tires would be a smart choice for me.
