What would you guys think about using something like this to fab up a homemade roof rack?

I read the fabrication sticky cause I wasn't sure where it belonged. The sticky says fab is only for on going products. Not questions like mine. I think even specifically said don't ask "will this work for my build" questions. So I figured this was the next best spot
