So I was driving along, hit a bump, and the engine died !?
I lost power steering and brakes as a result but luckily it was midnight and I was able to coast into local car care place..... I tried to start it, but it would only crank and wouldn't startup. So I disconnected battery and reconnected. It started up, then died. I tried to start it again and it finally came to life ! But the check engine light came on..... The light had come on about a week ago and went away too.... It was for Throttle position sensor. How (in the hell) could a bump shut off my XJ's engine !? 
It was at a railroad crossing mind you...
