Hi all, brand new here and potential first time Jeep buyer. Been looking at older Cherokee's a bit and came across this one that I'm going to take a look at today. Prices out here are pretty high so this one was appealing at its price point (it’s listed at $5,500, probably would want to get it a bit lower) but I'm a little concerned about the rust in the pictures. Obviously will be able to get a better sense of whether it has spread underneath when I see it today but just curious if those are known trouble spots for these cars or if there's anything else I should keep an eye out for. Also it has 184k miles on it. Thank you!
I am just going to say no.
Don't like the price.
Rust happens.
Bottom of the doors happens.
While I am sure it happens the front fender is kind of new to me seeing it like that.
But here are the things that really bug me.
That is not a 2000. At least I don't think it is. Thinking '97 or '98 which would actually be better.
Now I see the coil pack but I also see a full length roof rack.
'99 to '01 are shorter. Now there is always the possibility that somebody put a older roof rack on a newer Jeep.
So I have to wonder there. '00 engine in a '97 or '98?
Oh Google 0331 head to do some reading up on. You will thank me later.
And last missing badging.
I always wonder why.
