Default Thinking about doing a limited interior swap.

I've been thinking about it for a bit. I was interested in doing everything, seats, door panels, heat buttons. In fact, my classic doesn't have cruise so that's on the list too with an overhead console.

Those pieces seem pretty rare, but how rare are they? I was hoping maybe to score at a local junk yard but OKC doesn't seem to have a lot of XJ's. I saw a mint set of seats pop up on ebay awhile back and they went for a pretty penny. I think the front seats alone went for almost a grand.

I have never seen a limited in a junk yard. Ever.

It seems like it's always the little old ladies that take really good care of their Jeeps that ever bothered buying the limited models.

An interior swap new is going to cost you a crap ton. Most of the used you're going to find in the junk yard have probably already been rummaged or they're torn to shreds.

I do think the leather is worth it. It's so easy to wipe things off when you drip stuff or get dirt on it. It's really hard to stain.

The only ones I have ever seen are on here and one forsale at the dealer. I think your right about finding one at the junk yard and it being torn up. All I can do is keep my eyes open I guess.

I have never seen a limited in the JY, the reason I always look, is because I have a 1990 Limited.

Mine isnt a limited (its a classic) but I have a lot of the nicer interior parts..
Some really nice seats, half leather, half some other nice black material, over head console with MPG readings, DTE, ECO Fuel Mileage, compass and temp...power everything, cruise, heated mirrors.

I guess that means OP doesn't just have to look for a limited, he can look for classics with the same options.

I own a 01 classic. All power, no overhead (I have an overhead in the house the needs to go in). The limiteds have different door panels with wood grain trim, full leather seats, and some are heated...or so I thought.

I swapped the leather seats and interior trim pieces off a limited, everything but the door panels. Got the seats, trim pieces and a rear bumper for 100. Keep an eye on craigslist you can find some great deals.

I never see them show up on craigslist. I can deal with just the front seats but I need those electric sliders, and heating elements, and heating switches. Yes I know I can do it all aftermarket but I really like the factory look.

Is that just electric sliders or is there lumbar support?
