Default And Then it Happened

Below is link to my build which I started 18 months ago. Never imagined it would take this long. As you'll see in the build thread I had all the mechanicals worked out and just needed to hang panels, glass and some bodywork and then it happened!

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/pr...y-mind-196663/

I had to move the Jeep outside in the cold and cover it to work on another vehicle when a gas tank exploded and pretty much melted everything in the garage.

If the Jeep had been inside I would've just thrown myself on the fire.

It's taken me since January to rebuild the garage pics below but now I'll be able to hopefully finish this project before they put me in a nursing home.

It used to have open ceiling but I closed it to make it easier to heat and cool. Yes cool ;-)

Added lots and lots of lights.

Sorry to hear about the accident but, the main thing is that you are still around and breathing!

The garage looks awesome and there are never to many lights. Especially as we grow older and our eyes grow old too! I had to up the lighting in our garage so I could see what I was actually working on! Eyes aren't what they used to be sure..

The XJ is looking good so keep us posted on the progress and enjoy the new garage and added lighting!

Thanks and x2 on the eyes.

I actually wasn't home when it happened. I had someone helping me and he got blown across the garage and almost thru the garage door. It was bowed out like an elephant backed into it. He got banged up but not even singed. Lucky dude and I'm happy I don't have that on my conscience.

A clean garage is the sign of a sick mind.

I'm just envious and spiteful, my garage is full of my wife's junk. It's a hoarder's paradise in there.

I was in the same state my friend for nearly 20 years. 2 1/2 years ago when I decided I wanted to get a Jeep to play with I took the garage back and cleaned house. She's still riding my butt about it. I just turn what is supposed to be my good ear to her and go Ehh.

My father takes it one step further....he has carpet in the garage that he vacuums religiously. Its way comfy but such a pain if you spill any oil or fluids.

No joke your garage is a dream....heating AND cooling....wow, just wow. Someday when im not a broke college student

Yeah the lighting in my race car shop was fine when I built it 30 yrs ago, now it sucks and I have to use aux lighting everywhere to see well.

I've got my weekday lite beer because I hav to go to work in the morning, and then the weekend beer, the holiday beer and the party beer.
On top we have the drink till we fall down vodka (big bottle), the shots with buds Tennessee whiskey and finally chillin on a sunset Barcardi and Coke.
Oh and the tequila is in the house next to the blender.
