I really want to paint my rims. I Have the Creager D window rims and they are always black. I really like the textured look and think It would be sweet on my rims. My jeep is dark blue in color with black trim. I was thinking the copper hammered or brass hammered would look awesome on my rims but want the opinion of others because I dont want to be the only one that thinks it looks cool. heres a link o google images on different hammered paint colors.http://www.google.com/search?q=d+win...w=1280&bih=677
I just used hammered Rustoleum on my sliders. I don't think it would be too hard to clean on your wheels if you don't let your wheels sit with dirt and get deposits on them. The stuff does have divots in the paint but they are smooth, kind of like a golf ball. I'd highly recommend doing a few coats at minimum of clear over them to help smooth out the exterior of the paint while still visibly looking hammered from the base coats beforehand. Plus it doesn't seem that strong by itself.
