Herculiner seems to hold up the best, it's about $90 dollers a gallon. One gallon will do the whole jeep with two good heavy coats, most Autozone stores sell it. As for running with out carpet, the floor pan gets very hot. I put some Home Depot indoor/outdoor carpet in my front foot wells to shield away some of the heat.....I would bet the floor gets hot enough to cook on!!!

Default What's under your rug?

Here in the land of ice, snow, and road salt; we have to be careful of what we find under the carpet, and what we don't find.
I go for a rust paint on most applications. Rhino Liner is also a popular tough coating brand. Future consideration, you can weld thru a rust paint, not so easy on the epoxy liner coatings.
Look under the carpet and ......BOO!
