Zach, dude, this looks to you about like those new grands look to me. I can't say I see any reason in trying this, but what the heck, it's nice to see something new and different being fabbed up every once in a while.

So basically no matter which style you choose, you either kill how skinny an XJ is...or you kill how short it is. Two of its biggest strengths offroad, this mod would basically mess both up.
You go wider, and the rear tracks differently than the front.
You go longer and you end up with the turning radius of a small cruise ship....
either way, what you gain is not worth what you're giving up.

I don't care what these guys do either way, I just wanted to point out that those pics are kinda in the wrong thread.

im glad a few people read no ryhme or reason just to do it and it would look bad *** and be different than everyone elses fab write ups something besides a conduit roof rack or a bumper build some intense fabrication the only thing ive seen close to as intense is choping the back off dont get me wrong i love the varity of bumper builds and roof racks but if i seen a full on tandem axle build in the fab catagory i would really be super impressed even though it would be time consuming about worthless and pointless not to mention the cost and the photo shop one looks bad *** enough to make me wanna do it

check out that link for a sweet 6x6 Wrangler TJ and a killer mod axle

so if its not practical to do it to a cherokee then how would it have been practical to do it to an old Willie's jeep... like what the army did????
