Swapping Header Panels
I really like the look of the all black pre-97 style grill/header panels.
Since I have a 2000, it's a lot more rounded.
My question is, did they change the hood or fenders at all when they went to the 97+ style, or would the old style fit right on and look natural?
Do they use the same mounting screw locations, or did all of that get changed, too?
Basically I'm asking, can you swap a 00 header/grill assembly for a pre-97 style without any modification?

i just went from the old to the new.
i did the fenders too.
everything bolts right up, but the side marker lights won't fit in the housing and the lower front signal lights are different. there are two on the newer jeeps and only one on the older ones.
i just used my single bulb in the outer hole one the newer lens. fits right in, works great.
going the opposite way would be similar, you can of course cut and splice the corner/side marker sockets to the ones you need to fit properly.
and yes, the older fenders are more square lines while the newer ones are more round. hood is the same.
