Default Swappage deals

I found 2 cherokees for sale for 500 each. One is a 4.0L with a bad auto trans. The other is a 4.0L with a 5 spd and a bad engine. If I were to buy both to make one. Which direction would be the easiest? Swap the good engine into the 5 spd or the 5 spd to the good engine?

Keep in mind I don't have a lot of help or shop equipment right now. I haven't found any write ups either way yet.

6 of one half-dozen of the other.

Which one is the nicer Jeep?

Who am I foolin! I'll probably run 35s. My budget is real limited though. Craigslist has a lot of stuff though.

If I can get to around 20 mpg I'll be alright. My old suburban with 35's and 4.56's only got 10 mpg. That will kill my pocket book.

Why's that? I'm really tempted to find a 5-speed for mine, since I'm gonna have the transmission/engine/t-case out anyway for the swap.
