Alright, so I've been looking into getting a roof rack the past few weeks and I've pretty much made up my mind to get a Surco 40x50 rack. I know it's cheaper to build your own but I just don't have the time or tools necessary to do it so here I am.
To stay on point, my question is, if I get this rack: will I also have to get the gutter mounts as well? Or should I be okay to just mount it right on the rails?
I have a 99 sport if that matters at all. Here's a pic http://s1330.photobucket.com/user/dh...478e5.png.html
Thanks in advance!

For $100 more you can get a rack that is 72" x 48" and downsizes to 48" x 48".
Complete with gutter mounts.

I don't know anything about the surco rack but was about to order one from JCR and was unsure about mounting to the gutters because I don't have roof mounts. Makes me feel a little better about the strength.

Hmm my factory rails feel weak and are all wobbly. Guess it just depends on the individual xj.
