Default stuck in a hole!!!

Seriously! ! There is a sinkhole in my backyard my son's 2x4 Grand Cherokee was caught in. I pushed him out and got stuck! I know, how stupid was that! But I thought my 4x4 would get me out, I've gotten out of the woods and swamps here in NJ before, now I can't get out. Only my front left driver side wheel is turning, and in reverse only my right side passenger rear tire will turn. WTF!! No tow truck will venture into my backyard because its too soft. And I am sitting sideways to the driveway in a hole so pulling with cables is out. Now it won't start due to the water in the tank. ANY IDEAS OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrap a tow strap around the moving tire and hook it to itself. Hook the other end to another strap hooked to the truck. Put the jeep in reverse SLOW! It should grip the strap and cinch down on the tire. Reverse SLOW so the strap starts winding up around the tire. Maybe do both rear tires if you have enough straps. might wind itself up the strap towards your truck.

Note: I'VE NEVER TRIED THIS. DON'T BLAME ME IF YOU FAIL AT ATTEMPTING THIS.

Do you have it in 4LO? Sounds like you have a t-case with a 4 high full time option and that's what it's in. You need part time that way at least one front and one rear will spin. Also try holding the brake a little when you hit the gas. It works for LSDs and sometimes helps with open diffs to get a little more traction. Worst case find a way to jack it up and put something under the tires like 2x8s to get some traction.

The word you guys were looking for is a Sky Crane I had to use them several times when I had the towing companies in CO.

Out there its against the law to abandon a car in the mountains and sometimes they would fall several thousand feet from the roadway on one a truck and the other in the same place a Corvette. Both were almost new and claimed as stolen, the insurance companies weren't happy with the bills to get junk back either both were over $10k for the crane, my towing and storage.
