The rims on the XJ are taller than the Honda behind it!

 

I would see why you would not want to do that on an older model. But honestly you aren't going to get any real flex, or be able to use it on the trail as you wanted with the ifs up front. I have a 99 ranger and I did the ifs lift kit on it etc..just a waste of money. Eventually I did the solid axle swap ( jeep dana 44 out of a 76 waggy) Thats my trail rig. I don't have to worry about if it gets dented or a few windows shatter. Its a beast.... my 05 grand does great in the snow and forrest trails stock...but I now rock the 20inch srt 8 replicas and dropping it a few inches. Its more practical for me because I already have a 4x4 truggy that is ment for it
