Default Strange oil pressure

Hi all,
Have noticed that my oil pressure is low, not recently, it's just concerning. I used 10w20 and have a new sending unit. Cruising highway is at 25-35 psi and it idles at 6 psi fully warmed. Any ideas on what this may could be? Worn oil pump?

are you going by the factory gauge? the first thing I would do is connect a mechanical gauge and confirm the readings.

Not reading by a mechanical gauge, only the one in the cluster

Cluster gauges are almost never completely accurate. Doubtful its your oil pump. It is more than likely worn main, rod and cam bearings causing low pressure.

Exactly what I was going to say. Mine has been that way for a few years. I just keep good oil in it and only really worry when it drops to around 2 at real low RPMs.

Oil levels are still fine and I constantly check fluids but I'll keep that in mind. I just
Put a new head on it less than 3k miles ago and it seemed normal before I replaced the head

10w40 is what has always been used in mine and the oil pressure is one notch below 40 at idle and one to two notches above at 2000rpm.
