I loved my stinger when I was using it to scale my bumper in the water.

Here is a overall look, this is a Rustys winch bumper.

 

Yeah don't get one that looks like a cake-mixing spatula on the front of your Jeep. There's no reason that it should extend too much higher than your cowl line otherwise it's going to look ridiculous, and I don't think it should be under your hood line, otherwise it just looks tiny and useless.

I'm pretty content with Rough Country's stinger:



Not too small, and not too large. But it's beefy.

 

Everyone has a diffrent opinion do what you like. If you want one get one. Don't let the Internet build your rig.

Hell if it weren't for it I might not have ever built mine. I also agree with the statement about the height of the hood as about ideal for one.

 

Don't go cheap on a stinger. You don't want it to fold up if you really hit something.
