I've had no issues at all.
But it's now tied into my bumper. So there will not be issues ever.

i didn't run one in my jeep, then i started pulling the bolts through the frame. now it's beefed up on both sides with sleeves for the bolts. tough as it can get now.

If you are a mall crawler, no big deal. But if you wheel hard, then it is a good idea to at least run the bolts through a plate on the outside of the frame. Mine doubles as a bumper mount also. That also will give a very slight improvement in steering. You can brace it further if you want, but that is the minimum

Yes i run one front the box to the front uni rail on passenger side. Also my front bumber runs back past the mounting bolts and is plated on both sides. If you wheel alot you will need it eventually.

Well then that works for me because i just put a new bumper on yesterday and the bolts run through the bumper plate. And the the question above if i do any wheeling. Not to extreme because it's my dd but if i did not i would have not went back to 33s
