Default starting probs

I have a 98 jeep Cherokee, I just replaced the alternator and the battery last week. Just today I start my car and it cranks but it doesn't stay on unless I push on the gas, but as soon as I take my foot off the gas pedal my car shuts off...any suggestions

No fuel at idle. Replace the fuel filter it could be clogged up. My best simple guess
