I cannot be the only person on this forum that is exasperated with the constant use of unfathomable abbreviations. I understand that the younger generation is enthusiastic about wrtng lk ths so U cant undrstnd thm but I find it to be really annoying, along with using obscure abbreviations for major parts and functions of their Cherokee. The peepul who cant spel an don care to bothur to lern howe to or correck ther typos R reelly annoyin 2.
CAN WE PLEASE PUT UP A STICKY WITH STANDARD ABBREVIATIONS ARRANGED ALPHABETICALLY?
The most recent unfathomable abbreviation which I have encountered was SWIC. What the hell does that mean?
The standard way to include abbreviations in an article or post is to type out the full phrase the first time you use it (i.e. "Electronic Control Module" and then use the abbreviation thereafter (i.e. "ECM.") But I realize this is just way, way too much trouble for some people. I guess I'm throwing myself on the mercy of the few rational individuals out there who actually want to convey information to others. Can we at least spell out the more obscure phrases if it is not already obvious what the discussion is about?
Please, can we put up an abbreviation sticky? Thanks.

The problem with acronyms is that in some cases they are just a waste of time, and generally the majority already knows what 90 % of them are just by the context of the information. JS - Just Sayin'
