The mechanic at the shop next to my old man's has just built a xj with a lincoln town car v8. Fits in the engine compartment better then the 4.0.

Everyone says it cant be done, or is to much work, But he used factory motor mounts slightly modified, and it looks and sounds beautiful

Took him 2 weeks, 2 hours a night.

i agree with oyu on the everyone says its to much work part. however remember he has a shop with shop tools and everything to do it with, not everyone has those resources. also is it still 4x4 or did he make it 2wd?

i have a friend that fit a viper v10 in a grand wagoneer.. i just wanted to know about the possibility of one... i dont have the way (or funds) to make on but where would u start...

unibody stiffeners would be a great way to start.... and u might have to do some drive shaft mods...

on of my biggest questions would be could u swap some of the drive line from newer grand cherokee srt8's

Sub frame.

That kind of torque would twist it even with plating.

maybe make it versatile and build a rock proof exo-cage built into subframe rails .... it would be a rough ride..but isnt that the point...
