Default which spec should I use to besure I get correct rear axle

I thought I had this figured out but can't remember what component I took the numbers from in the spec section. I think the two numbers after the decimal pt.were .55 But I'm not even sure of that.

Thanks for your patience.

See what I mean. I had the numbers in the last post. Any time now I'm gonna need training wheels on my walker [ w/hearst 4 speed and 4:11 rear end. of course]

Being you have a 4.0 and auto you should have a 3.55 gear which is a really common gearing. Here is the list
Jeep XJs came in several standard gearing ratios:
  • 3.07:1, manual transmission, I6 engine.
  • 3.54:1, automatic transmission, I6 engine with Dana 44 rear differential
  • 3.54:1, manual transmission, I4 engine with Dana 35 rear differential
  • 3.55:1, automatic transmission, I6, inline 6 engines; manual transmission, I4 engine
  • 3.73:1, automatic transmission, I6, tow package, UpCountry package, 2.5 VM diesel manual
  • 4.10:1, 2.5L I4 engine, V6 manual transmission
  • 4.56:1, automatic transmission, I4, offroad or tow package
