stock is 5.25, alot of people manage to wedge 6.5's in there.

I stuffed 6.25 in the rear bar with minor cutting to the head liner. I also bought 5.25 for the front doors but they're to small? I could of definitely fit 6.25 up front as well. Mines a 2000

My 97 had 5.25 all around, but my 99 came with the Infinity sound system(amp under seat, front tweeters) and has 6.5 all around. If you have 5.25's you can fit 6.5 with a little cutting. Just make sure you get shallow mounts for the front.

My friend is hooking me up with 4 never used 6.5" Kenwood speakers on sunday, can't wait to put them in the hatch and sound bar. Looking to switch the front at some point but don't want to take off the door panels so was thinking of just going 5.25 so i can slide them in with the rivets out

Door panels mad easy to take one/off.. Did it in audio store parking lot trying asses why my drivers side speakers both weren't working. Thinking it was probably the head unit. But it turns out both capacitors on the speakers were broke... Random.. So I took both rears out, put the good one in the front opening and bought two new 6.5" alpine s-types... Sounds a lot better.. Haha, I had to cut a square of the front speaker grill out to allow for tweeter. It's one of those Polk db series with the swivel tweeter.

I used 6.5's all the way around with no cutting. I used Pioneer/Kenwoods.
