Default Spare tire mounting

On an XJ,Most stock configurations have the spare tire in the rear of the drivers side.

However when you get to adding larger tires into the equation, thats no longer an option.

Personally I carry mine on the roof rack, bolted down with the provision provided.

I do like the rear mounted look though.

Problem there is that finding a factory rear mounted setup is like finding hens teeth, and the aftermarket ones I have seen are spendy.

So...
How does everyone prefer to carry their spare tire? Pics would be nice

That is a 31 Inch tire. Any bigger would not fit.
