Are you thinking like having quality replacements or cheaper stuff just in case of failure, just to get home and then get a proper replacement or what? I would actually just go to a junkyard and pull sensors and spares from there.

I've got an ammo can that lives where the spare used to. It actually has an old sticker on it that says survival kit lol kinda fitting. It has some random extra parts. Extra plugs, TPS, rotor, cap, clean NSS, etc.....

I carry a parts bag on board (as well as diag equip and tools):
CPS
IAC
Cap/Rotor
Radiator Cap
Fuses (assorted)
Ignition Coil
Oxygen Sensor (upstream)
Belt
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
Spare plugs
Alligator Clip Grounding Wire (good for establishing a temporary ground to get you home).
Things I need to add:
TPS
MAP
PCM
Spare wires
I of course also carry fluids, and various other randoms.
I also keep important images of various electrical tests and wire diagrams on my phone, should I be stuck with no connection.

make sure you at least have, say, an adjustable wrench that will let you tighten/loosen the battery terminal clamps, and/or the battery hold-down bracket.
i need to work on what i carry but i dont want to fill the cargo area up when i dont need to. Aside from a socket set and jumpers, i have some water and a few fuses. Definitely adding some hose clamps and duct tape.
I like the "pull serviceable looking sensors from the JY" idea, since im kinda perma-broke and just buying new sensors for the heck of it isnt really feasible.
If you keep parts diagrams and such on your phone, it might also be a good idea to keep a small power bank in the jeep too, so if you're broke down you have more juice in case you kill your phone trying to read the images.

Careful you don't jinx!
Every time i say my XJ is running good, it never fails..time to open up the wallet again!
Mine was running good last Fall. So much so, i thought it'd be trouble free for this Spring.....NOT!
Now come to find out it needs ball joints, pesky Tcase leak, brake job and just lately the radiator sprung a leak!
It never ends!
