Do all Cherokees have sound bars in the back? If not what years had them? Also what size speakers were they made for(prolly 5.25?)

Thanks

It was more of an option (extra $) for the older ones, the later versions I believed had them installed under the headliner so you couldn't take them out as easily. They size speakers that come in there are 5.25" but can fit 6.5" with little work

Ok thanks. So there's speakers in the front doors and the sound bar. Is there speakers anywhere else? I thought I heard that there was speakers in the hatch?

if you have all of the speakers (optional) then there are at most 6, correct 2 in the doors, 2 in the hatch, and 2 in the sound bar. And if you count tweeters then there are 2 of those in the bottom dash

I have a 97 and my doors had 5 1/4. I would have had to enlarge the hole to make 6 1/2 fit.

I know that if I had 3 pairs of my kenwood 6.5" speakers I could of put them in all 6 spots with no work. Their mounting plates are almost universal so they have the 5.25" bolt pattern. They just slid right into the hatch and the little tabs just have to be clipped off to sit flush with the sound bar

Okk so I'm trying to figure out my speaker setup. I'm putting 6.5s in the front and I was wondering is it even worth it to put speakers in both the sound bar AND the hatch because there so close together? I was thinking this because, one: I'm going to amp the speakers and a 4 channel amp would work for them. And two: because it'd save money on speakers. Please help

I have 1" tweeters under the front dash. 5.25's in the front doors. 6X9's in the rear hatch. And a 10" sub in the rear passenger side pocket. And 5-channel amp under the rear seat. But the tweeters and 5.25's are hooked in series right now.

So 4 speakers and a set of subs would be enough?

What do used sound bars usually go for? If they have stock or generic speakers in them. I'm looking at getting one but want to know the pricing.

I just pit some stuff in the For Sale forum, including a sound bar.

I know that I am reviving a somewhat old thread but I am trying to find out the mounting depth of the sound bar... anyone?
