we should drive around with just the drivers door off for 1 day and see what ppl say

 

the next time your walking to your xj and some one say somebody stole your doors your reply should be oh no my 14 foot snake was in the front seat thn start calling here tiny tiny here tiny lol see what reactions you get

 

ive done that haha. some guy at the gas station said "if u wanted to take your doors off why didnt you get a wrangler" and i said " because i dont like the looks of em" ,and he said "well they arnt ment to come off", then i responded with "if they werent meant to come off why are they adjustable?", at that he shrugged and walked away
then i was at the boat landing with some friends and a sherriff pulls up and asks if my jeeps legal. thinking to my self i questioned if this cop was trying to be a smarty. so i told him what the requirements are that they needed an inside and atleast one outside mirror. he said ok and nice jeep.
i think he jus had a hardon that my xj could go doorless and look better than his wrangler

 

I always get "why don't you just buy a wrangler?"... It gets old

 

I got asked that so much i though "Hmm....might be time for a wrangler!"

 

Yep, I get asked the same things around here..

Lately I reply with "Oh, is that what's missing?" or "It's a Jeep thing, they must of fell off..".

Got pulled over the other day by a cop looking into it. He was a pretty nice guy, couldn't find any law I was breaking but took my number and said he'd never dealt with a doorless vehicle before and was curious about the laws on it and he'd call if he found anything (just so I'd know)... but 2 days and no word yet! lol.

 

Yea.. The cops don't even look my way.
I know a traffic cop and asked him one day. Legal? And he said I was good.

So here in Conn were wheeling is illegal.. I can drive with no doors go figure.

 

I had a k5 blazer and the sheriff about **** his pants when he seen me doorless. Pulled me over and questioned the he'll out of me. Then let me drive it home and said doors are a must have.

 

Anyone know if this is legal in PA?

I've owned two wranglers and had the doors off any chance I got and never had an issue. It most likely depends on the cops in your area. By the way I'm from NEPA.

 

Next time someone asks where your doors are you could tell them you took 'em off and threw 'em at the last two people who asked where your doors were...just an idea.

 

i like that idea. ive only been doorless for a couple weeks and it already bugs me how many ppl ask questions. i have yet to get talked to by thew cops. i asked one and he said "state laws requires if it came with it it should have it, but i dont think anyone here will care."
