Default so im cheaper then dirt...

so i have a fairly long commute for school and i need to keep my mpg as high as i can. bigger tires and high mpg are never used in the same sentence i know! but i want to put a rough country 4.5 inch lift on my xj and just run with the 29in tires that are on there now. i get 19mpg and dont want to see it go any less. so do yall think it would look funky like that? cuz im optimistic and see it a more flex and less rubbing!!!

thanks cole

Yeah it would look funny and remember the higher in the air you go the more air resistance you have= lower mpg's

well i planned on having a set of sreet tires and off road tires anyways. 33's for off road but i dont want the lower mpg of 33's. i like the look of smaller tires of higher lift but damn that might just be too small of a tire! oh well, it'll flex like no other

I have that set up right now( 4.5 lift on 31 M/Ts) add in all the skids and bumper and I get 15 mpg average. I think I get about 17 on the highway but I have no prof of that just what I think due to gas consumption.

Buy yourself some junker 4-banger car as a DD. The bug hits you hard. Youll be happy with it for a while and then start thinkin ..."hmmm, if i just did this or this i could stuff 35's under this thing" hahaha
