Default Snow Tires

During the winter, we get a ton of packed ice and snow. What are the best traction tires that you guys are running for packed snow/ice ?

we have 33x12.5 trxus and don't mind them at all. they have siping in the treads for the hard pack/shiny snow. they're now on the wifey's tj.

i have iroks on the xj that work well on the same stuff. but i don't drive it very much in the winter, only when i want to take it out for a spin. once or twice a year. not at all last winter.

my tj has destination mt. they suck in these conditions. lol. and it's my daily driver/winter driver.

They dont make 'em any more, but if they did.......

Firestone Town and Country radials.

I would bet even against todays tire there would be no finer.
They did well in mud too!

A few old ads...........
anyone remember them?

i live up in the mountains in flagstaff, az and we get qutie a bit of snow(most in the country this year). i ran a set of 29" Mastercraft Courser MTs and they worked great. ive only got a 2" lift and i never got stuck worse than having to give it a little push.

I had the BFG ATs on an 89 full size Bronco I had and they used to ball up with snow and become slippery, they look cool but found out they didn't clear out to easily.
