Default Small Sad Story

So a while ago it came time for me to buy my first jeep. I was strapped on cash so I bought an old used XJ. Well as time went on I started to fix it up, repaint it, and start making it into a respectable vehicle. When I got it, it wasn't at all street worthy. The brakes didn't work, it ran like ****, and well basically the grill was falling off and some other stuff.

I moved to T.N. and to fun this adventure I had to sell the XJ I lovingly named "Cat Fish Soup" hence the user name.

When I sold it I had whipper her up into a semi respectable shape. I sold her for basically what I put into it. It was a lot of fun, and I missed the hell out of that jeep.

Well I was on craigslist, and found her. The new owner beat the **** out of her and ****ed her all up. I'm a little upset over this because I asked the guy to keep improving on her and he did the opposite of that. He trashed her out.

The last photo I had taken. I cleaned it up a little more and made her shine before I sold it.

what I found

A decent amount of information is wrong in the ad too. However the phone numbers add up, location, and what the guy described I did to it.

Should have got it in writing, "I promise to take good care of the Jeep"

Signed, New Owner.

Buy her back and give her some TLC. You won't be disappointed, trust me.

Looks like the snorkel was literally ripped off. I agree, buy it back, since you kbow what it's actually worth now, and take care of it. Run him ove some day lol. Besides you can't keep that username now with your XJ in someone else's driveway now can ya?

looks like he started to fix it up with the wheels, then wheeled it hard dinged a few things and threw in the towel as stuff started to obviously break/fail...

I wish I could come across some of the classic cars I've sold many years ago, there have been a few regrets that stick with me.....

there should be a site or service where you pay to have your 'cars of past' looked up and found....

Welp, **** me running, that was the old Busted Knuckle. She was a $1000 rig when I picked her up, and I put the least amount into her, ended up being about another grand, then sold to someone else, who chewed up, then resold to CatfishSoup.

She was a pig on the street, night I bought her the calipers locked up, on a 4 mile trip home. She was beaten, neglected, then I beat her, neglected her, but goddamn, she never, ever once got stuck or stranded.

When I got it, barely running, dented and 4 different colors with 1/3rd of the interior.

Now mind you, I put the least amount of money into it, as it was just a toy that was half rusted away.

My brother and his swamprat friends want me to give them what's left of The Outlaw II for a swamp buggy. HELL NO!! Yes the body is rusted out but I can't see her destroyed by stupidity. Besides, I'm not giving away my D44s and the IH motor is now in a friend's Yj.
