ehhhh... i personally think it would be a waste, considering the cherokee is short wheel base, solid axles front and back, 4wd..... its just a good combo for offroading.

but i have seen some lowered on the internet now and then, i bet car domain is full of them.

What do you do with 2wd Cherokees???

There have been few around.. but the owners generally feel so picked on.. they generally don't hang around the forums. They get no respect from the off-road crowd..or the mini-truck/ricer crowd.

Well I guess a 2wd Xj would be good for high speed off road racing. Light XJ makes zippier XJ with a 4" lift for the air jumps and sand tire's. Just my thought.. But a slamed XJ just looks wrong and disgracful.

gradon over on NAXJA did it. He only lowered his like 1.5", so it's a hair lower than a sagged stocker. But he also has a stroker and beefier swaybars soooo... I believe he also made most of his parts, and it's a 2wd.

If done right, I can fully respect them as ricer killers.

LOL respect your responses, over here in the uk Jeeps newest range have a family car that looks like a droped jeep, it looks quite smart, and got me thinking about the XJ's that was all. i am not personally considering it although theres nothing to say that i will in the future.

lowering is okay for tow rigs imo. i have seen alot of guys lowering there 1 ton and 3/4 ton pickups that they use as tow rigs. keeps the weight where it belongs and on the road.

i have a a 2wd Comanche and its a very fun little ride. its my little street toy. i thought about putting a small lift in it and go that direction but leaving it stock with nice wheels and tires is good enough for me.

there is a place in this world for 2wd Jeeps. nice DDs.
