Ok, so what questions do you have?

Seems asking a question would be much more productive than looking at pictures of front axles.

Yes.

If you get all the parts from correct year XJ it will all bolt right up.

The harness for the t-case will be tied up out of the way somewhere.

Probably bundled with the speed sensor.

You may have to put a bulb in the dash tho.

I don't see a need for the "part time" 4wd light so I didn't even bother

Also the light for the interior shifter there's a connector under the back seat under the carpet you switch out with one from a 4wd jeep

You could, but that's doing the most, I'd just go to your local jy and snag the connection from a 4wd. It should unplug somewhere under your hood and you just need to feed it under to your spedo

You dont have to worry about vacuum anything on a 97. Get a front axle from a 92-99, Read this:http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1053970, try to get a t case from the same tranny (grab the crossmember), and driveshafts front and rear with a more open selection of year models.

I'm gathering all my stuff now.

if hes talking about the vaccum disco then try to avoid it. Get a solid axle. I got mine for $20 so cant beat it.
