They make one for both pre 97 and 97+ so be careful as the passenger compartment piece is not interchangeable. The cargo compartment should be the same. The install is not an easy drop in btw... It'll require a few hours of cursing, trimming, and cutting to get it in.

Look for fabric paint or upholstery paint in spray cans, anything else could make the nap of carpet become crusty. Or remove carpet and use RIT dye.

I used the RIT dye on mine and it turned out well for the front piece but the rear didn't go so well. Front is nice and black, the rear is like darker grey now. Both left in for a day or so.

carpet looks good I was thinking of spraying mine black with interior spray my carpet isn't in that bad of shape just want it black. Also the seats I love how hard are they to install are they expensive or was it a JY lucky purchase ,what are the details on those? Thanks I have XJ sport 00 so I know brackets are different.
The seats were a lucky Ebay purchase. They're from a totaled Viper and came complete with copious amounts of glass shards and a few imperfections. But considering I payed less than one aftermarket seat I'll let that slide. To install I modified the seats to fit the factory XJ seat bracket. I did so by grinding out the rivets holding the viper tracks in place and drilling some holes. I also cut some 1/4 x 1.5" flat iron to make adapters. Once that was all done I bolted everything together. I discovered that the seats sat a little too reclined for my liking (mostly because its a 6spd and I needed a little more leg room) so I cut and rewelded 1" out of the front legs of the factory XJ brackets to lower the front a bit. Lastly I modified the XJ seatbelt buckles to fit and made a trim piece (I modified the XJ plastic trim) to hide the track.

Yes it is, if I remember right your gonna have to swap over the dash support and the wiring for it, the harness's that run along the floor for the soundbar, taillights and fuel pump should be fine to leave in though
