You're going to have to modify the emergency brake. Here's a video on how it's done ...

USN_JeepXJ those mods are awesome! Looks so very clean and factory. Definitely some inspiration from there too. Is there a safety of some kind for your locker switches? I'd be a bad day if a passenger hit a switch while at speed.

Thanks! Its funny you mentioned that... I had a buddy stop by and immediately showed me how easy it would be to bump the switch. So I wired it through my spare switch on the 6 place panel. That switch will also be used for a winch isolator in the future but I figure that'll be perfect as the lockers and a winch will only ever be used offroad at slow speeds. Now bumping it will do nothing unless the other switch is engaged.

I every day conceal carry a gen 4 G19. So I took an outside the waistband thumbdrive holster I had laying around and I mounted it just to the left of the passager seat. Makes it real accessible. And it's locked it there when trailing. Here's a picture

Default My interior mods

My first XJ. 1990, but with 1991 cooling system retrofit. Sold it a few years ago though when I moved from the Bay Area to nashville

Blue krypton on dash trim, molle pouch rack on back left, netting over cubby and the big storage platform. Added an aux 12v in the cubby too. ZJ center console gives passengers a cup holder each too. The switch on the shifter area is for a couple white reverse lights- my reverse sensor thingy was shot so I went manual.

Default Back Box

Thanks for the thread. I've been flipping through for a while, and thought I should post my box. Its made of wood pretty cheaply about 4 years ago, but its held up well.

I picked up one on Craigslist about 6 months ago. Lock was shot. Think I found a $5 replacement at Home Depot that will work. Paid $50 for it. Really don't know why I bought it. I have the dealer installed 6 CD Changer with the enclosure back there so I can't use it. Thing is that I doubt I will ever see one again local to me in my lifetime so I figured grab it while I can. The Lido box is mine. The picture of the CD Enclosure is just a picture I grabbed off the internet. The one in my '00 is the same just Camel in color.

Has anyone swapped in a pre 97 center console into a 97+? My 92 has a special Tuffy insert in the center console that I don't want to part with, but it won't fit the new XJ. Would like to know if this swap is feasible without tearing up the interior. Locked storage is more important to me than cup holders!

The reverse has been done, but it takes a little fab work since the e brakes are in different places.
