Should I trade?
I own a 87 cherokee (stock) 4x4 4-door (man-trans w/231) with 120,000miles has entire interior, but has a lot of rust (was owned in chicago its first 8 yrs of life)and the a/c doesn't work and has not been converted yet. it has a working vac-disc front axle.
I also have a 1990 automatic (aw4)limited w/4.5 RC Lift. It has 2" shackles and spacers giving it 6.5 total. It is sitting on a non-vac disc. front axle and 8.25 factory traclock rear. No-airbox, no-a/c (converted to on-board air), upgraded dual diaphram booster, smokes some, unknown milage, broken 242 transfer. Body is good except there is some rust above the front rear spring mount and has some redneck thin metal patching (with some tiny holes) done above where the muffler and exhaust used to be. It shoes are 33" new bfg muds on canyons.
My buddy wants to trade his 98 cherokee 4x4 with working air, nice enterior with 140,000miles for both of my rides. Should I trade?
My wife wants a A/C because it gets really hot in the ATL area, so a newer cherokee is ideal, i like the looks of the newer grill, and being a 98 I do nt have the problems of the 2000 and 01.

sound like your 90 would be a good enough trade, gets your ol lady a truck with AC and you would still have the 87 to play with, does the 87 have the D44?
edit: i just reread and see the broken T-case and smokes, maybe throw the 90 and some cash and see what he says
