Should i get a dana 44 or a Ford 8.8

I posted a dana 44 in the craigslist thread I found it in a Memphis craigslist add. 250$. I have had 8.25 with the 29 splines in two xj's both running 33"s. Not saying I won't blow one up today but to date never a problem.
