Why did you originally buy your XJ? Parents wanted something reliable that would tow the sleds or the boat, while having room for me and my brother, 4 wheel drive, and reasonably priced...handed down to me because its been in the family and still my favorite vehicle.

Why did you originally buy your XJ? I've always loved Jeeps. After I totaled my first car, a Tercel, it came down to "a nice fuel efficient car with a dealer warranty", a 1995 YJ with ~155k miles and 33" KUMHOs on it, or the XJ. I wanted the XJ so bad I coerced my boss into teaching me how to drive a manual so I could buy it.
Would you buy another XJ if the opportunity came up? Absolutely! In fact I'm planning on it!

i wanted a vehicle with both off road and on road capability's, that was reliable and had 4 doors and a good amount of cargo room. the XJ was a logical choice, pluss for $500 bucks for decent 7/10 XJ that ran was hard to pass up.
