Well at least someone benefited from it

Ok well last night I got my 1.5" angled lift blocks installed.........

Much better, and it sits perfectly.

However my extended travel shocks in the back now are not long enough. so I will do shorten the shock mount at the axle to make up for the 1.5" difference. Plus gain a little clearance underneath.

Now I am maxed out shock wise all the way around LOL.. This is the problem I guess when you only lift your truck 3in.

The only way to get more travel is to lengthen the shock mounting areas all the way around. Just not sure I want to mess with it at this point.

Blocks installed on your xj? Doesn't surprise me at all. Guessing you double stacked coil spacers in the front also?

ah yes, the epic locked vs open debate, with the recommendation to "work on your suspension for next to nothing" with no actual information on what exactly to work on.

All the hype about lockers always made me feel I needed them. Wheeling with about 150 people this weekend showed me how irrelevant they actually are for a street Jeep.

Now let me explain.....
Now the reason I am posting this is for those of you like me who have been stressing because they were not locked. Feel they couldn't hang without being locked. I am here as a witness that they are actually very competitive IF you are set up in other areas being mainly tires/pressure/suspension.
And I and others stand by this. You can have a great time off roading even if you are not locked. IF the crazies on here would not have blown everything out of proportion there would not have been a locked thread.

Honestly I would love to have mechanical lockers. For me I think this would be great. But I just can't afford it right now, and its way down on the list because lockers are NOT the reason I can't go some places. Its that the tougher trails around here mainly require some form of body damage. And I am not wanting to do that. My jeep is a daily driver. And as I stated in my thread this is for daily drivers. NOT full on trail rigs.
