Default Shaving the Rain Gutters

This is the idea with the upcoming paiting, totally being rid of the rain gutters so as to provide a more clean look. I did it before on a Bronco II and it did look really good. Is it possible to do it on the cherokee? I understand that the trim covering has to come off and there is a seam between the roof and the body, the idea was to fill in with a flexable filler. Any thoughts on this idea?

Really?

I suppose this is your show Jeep?

If you "shave" the drip rail the roof will no longer be attached to the Jeep unless you completely weld it up all the way around.

Waste of time in my opinion but that's just me.

Be sides, what will you mount a roof rack to?

Not a show Jeep in any sense, just looking for a clearner look. Maybe just removing the black trim on the gutters would be a better solution.

Then you have a bare pinch seam that look horrible.

Paint it chrome.

Just paint it to match your jeep and make it blend it

You've apparently not asked too many questions on pirate then.

I see no point in taking the guttering off, just paint it the same color as your jeep ^^, Guarantee you wont even realize its there.

I would never get rid of the rain gutters. Bad idea in my opinion.

deffenately not worth the time and effort. i love my rain gutters i have my rack attatched to them and i can have 3 men stand on my rack, the rain gutters are strong, thoes rain gutters are there for a reason and removing them would be pretty much useless
