Im looking at buying a 99 cherokee with a 4.5 in lift and 31s. Everything checked out and he said no death wobbles but he did say it shook a bit when taking off does anyone know what this might be??

 

Maybe it has a little DW? Or driveline vibrations from the lift.
Double check for sure.

 

He said theres no wobble at even interstate speeds but i havent drivin it yet. Some other people said it could be not having an sye kit.

 

What would fix driveline vibrations?

 

An SYE.

Could be from not having a SYE or TCase drop. However could be something else, as in I have a 4.5" lift and no SYE or TCase drop. And have no vibrations or death wobble even when I get the Jeep up to like 75-80.

Get underneath there and have a look at the driveshaft and your transfer case output. Try to shake the shaft. If its nice and tight that's good, but if there's any give that's bad.
