Default Seat Swap question

I desperately need a new driver seat for my 1990 xj, however every time i go to the jy here there either is a nice jeep with no seats or some pos with as bad of seats as i have, i was curious if its possible to take seats out of another car (honda, ford ect) and mount them using my current rails?

you will have to modify your brackets on pretty much any other seat other than an xj seat

ya i figured there would be some modifying done, i wanted to go with stock xj seats but they seem to be pretty rare around here and im tired of wheeling with a sore back from mine :P im figuring any small car seat will fit with some modification of course, i just wanted to know if any1 had tried it or if there were any seats that would be close

theres a guy on here that i talked to. he swapped in neon seats and he said they bolted right in with no modding. said that the whole seat comes out. rail and all just unbolt it from the floor and bolt in the neons and yer good. thats basically what he said and ive been lookin into it as well for new seats and all the holes line up

Try finding Grand Cherokee seats, the will bolt right up to your XJ brackets... Power or manual. Did it to mine and its great.

And they are cheap. I got front and rear leather seats with brackets and all for $60.

You have a 2000. He has a 1990. The grand swap wont work on his.
