Well, putting it in the tank wont clean your TB and putting it in the TB wont clean your injectors or FF. So, depending on what you want to do.....

what about synthetic oil in a 1998 XJ? i been runnin mobil one for a few thousand now...good idea or not

The previous owner of my 98 XJ ran Mobil 1 and I have continued to do so, runs clean and well.

As for seafoam, I put it in the crankcase, gas, and throttle body. My jeep is in love with me now!

Put it in the brake booster too, itll love you even more!

As for synthetic, I run Mobile 1 and she LOVES the stuff. $30 per oil change for a premium filter and full synthetic oil....cant go wrong.

519000 km plus on the Peep, regular lube/fluids in engine, trans, steering, rad. New filters. Have used Lucas products with measureable benefits. Never used the seafoam product.
