A 350 is just like any motor, abuse it and do no maintenance and it will turn into a turd. And as far as the 83 camaro you mentioned.. Lets just say that wasnt one of chevy's greatest vehicles. Everything on and in those cars turns to crap.

350's just drop right in and upgrades are cheap. Theres a reason why chevy kept the 350 around for so long. Like I said earlier I have a 76 Blazer that runs I use it as a toy just to tear up the trails and I make it up almost anything without even using the 4x4 and thats on a heavy truck imagine that HP on a jeep.

And I've said it before, but I'll say it again. DO YOUR RESEARCH, most of the older stock small block V8's did NOT put out more power than a stock 4.0 does. Built/Modified is a different story... but stock, the 4.0 is hard to beat.
