I couldnt take the sagging headliner anymore it was driving me nuts.
I Have alot of bedliner on my xj, (floors, quaters, rockers, roof) So i figured why not do the headliner. I checked some pics out online and saw some people used the spray can bedliner but i really didnt like the look. You could still see the fiberglass backing board through the bedliner. I used Herculiner and it came out awesome.
Just pull the fiberglass board down, rip the material off . Then you will have the foam left, i put a rubber glove on and rubbed all the foam off then used a stiff brush to get the last of it off.
No cleaning, just rolled on my herculiner And that was it. VERY satisfied with results. Heres two pics one with the foam and one with the board clean

Looks awesome man. My headliner has a crapton of cuts, slits and holes in it... Never thought about doing this until now. Awesome idea!

LOVE this. I was just wondering though, how much of the stuff did it take? We're thinking of doing the floors aswell as was wondering if a gallon can would foot the job.

Gallon will easily do the floors. I did my complete quater panels ,rear hatch, floors, and headliner. The key is to use the blue rollers that come in the kit to apply it. Other rollers from home depot etc soak up the material so much you waste a lot. I tried looking everywhere for replacement herculiner rollers and couldnt find them????
it did come out real nice,i was very suprised. Might want to leave the board out if your worried about smell for the first week. then again if your doing the floors who cares
