Default A sad story: a veteran and his jeep

I was looking for some stuff online and i came across this guy who just came home from over seas, driving his jeep like any other person and out of no where the bottom of his motor shot out.

what makes this a sad story is that the dealers he whent to will not warranty the motor and trans he needs.

its storys like this that make me want'a go to these dealers and slap them silly.

im not trying to make you do anything, im not trying to stir the pot up, just wanted to pass the story along.

That's terrible, there are so many variables that can cause that but to not be covered it just ridiculous. Just as sad as this pic

at least you can change the diff oil up front easy now.

I read some of it and all I can say is that if it was in my dealership without oil change records it would be denied as well.

True^ usually if the dealership does not do all the maintenance than if something goes Wong it will be denied.

Not exactly. We (my dealership) accept o/c records from any shop or chain, receipts for filters and oil from the DIY folks. It is pretty easy to pick out the fake ones too.

Truth be known it is about that same way everywhere.
Most of the horror stories you hear are also very one-sided.
There are also a lot of folks that think everything should be covered under warranty regardless of how obvious the abuse and lack of maintenance is.
We don't warranty stupidity or mis-use.
