a sad day for a wrangler
I was driving back from the store yesterday when I saw a sad sight. A tj with the driver side rear end sitting on the pavement. The axle and 33" tire were sitting in front of it. It was a rainy day. I would imagine the driver decided to try and light em up and caught traction and snap. Unfortunately I was in my gfs car and didn't have tools or my knack, not to mention she didn't want to stop. A ead day for that wrangler.

Yes! After reviewing the picture I get the feeling this has never been Offroading. Must have tried to treat it like a muscle car. Unfortunately the Dana 35 isn't a muscle rear end.

At least he was on pavement.... I snapped my D35 on my 99 Wrangler (at the same spot) about 1 mile in the woods that we drove up a creek to get to... December 24th Buffalo NY. Bad, bad cold ride back, my buddy had to keep pushing my tire/axle back into the housing all the way down the creek while I drove......

Same d35 rear end as cherokees. On 31s you'll be fine. It's never a good idea to beat on the rear end with stock axles in these things though especially if you're locked. I would never lock a 35. This guy mist have burned out on wet pavement and suddenly caught traction.
