hey guys its been a while. i am looking to lift my 96 country with a 4.5 inch kit. i have experience with zone from a previous xj(3 inch), and loved it. it rode smooth on the road and was really well made. i was just wondering how the rusty's off road lifts compare with the zone lifts.

Both sets ive ran were near perfect length.
Hell, I preferred my rustys leafs over my RE leafs.

I have never ran Zone but have a Rustys on now for 18 mo. and have been well pleased with it, most of all the spring quality. Both the leaf pack and the HD front coils I ordered because of my bumper and winch a bit rough till I mounted the winch but then very good. As with any kit you buy the shocks leave something to be desired.
I have had 2 issues with customer service being contacted, in my case both were handled quickly without any problems. Rusty has on more than several occasions spoke with me on the phone for quite a while about setups.

You're thinking of Rough Country. I'm happy with my Rusty's lift, have to replace the rear leaf bushings but I bought the kit used so I'm not complaining. I just have their springs front and rear so I can't talk about anything else from them but everything went on easy and everything has been great.

Rusty's and Zone are both good companies. I'm currently installing a 3 inch Rusty's lift on my XJ, and that's after researching lift companies a lot. I have their 3 inch lift coils, full spring packs, and fixed upper and lower control arms. For a track bar I suggest Rubicon Express, that's what I went with over the Rusty's track bar, I hear it's much stronger. I'll have pics of the install in my build thread soon.

I did a rustys 3 inch full leaf kit over the summer. the only problem i had was getting factory parts off! lol i gained about 3.5" from the kit. also, their CS was great.

It's true. They are owned by the same company, and Zone's coils can take full coil bind just like BDS coils can. They make good stuff, and at a good price.

I had one of there cheap ones with the 3" lift when I went with the 4 1/2" lift I used the Rustys HD Adj. Dbl.. Shear Track bar and I'm pleased with it so far.
