RUSTYS vs RC
im a new jeep owner and im looking into a lift...my first choice was going to be a rough country kit but i heard they arent the best quality??? is this true? i heard RC was ok Rustys was better and OME was best...any input?
Rusty and RC both suck OME is more or less good OEM stuff. you want a good lift
BDS, TNT, IRO, Clayton, Rock Crawler, Ironman andy, ect there is a difference between the mall crawler and stuff that really preforms well off road.

I know money is always a issue but if you get a cheaper lift you might have to buy two.I say spend a little bit money for a good quality lift and have a lot less problems.I custom build all my stuff for a 1/4 of the price.Good luck.Do your research just dont and buy any lift.

PWNED!!!
From what ive read on alot of threads here its a love hate thing for RC. Some people swear by it and some people absolutely hate it. As for Rustys Ive heard that alot of times your going to get a kit sent to you and find out that there are missing pieces. Ive also heard that customer service is decient with both of them though. I dont know, I havnt had any experience with these lifts but this is some of the things that I have gathered from other peoples threads. I hope this helps.

I got a rc 6 long arm. Can't complain about it for the price. Rides decent flexed well was kinda a pita to put on but hey its a long arm. Do yourself a favor an do some research an don't just ask the opinions of people on here. Seems to be most think that if ur not buying the biggest an best your looked down on. One of the other guys with an xj in my jeep club called me a dumb@$$ for going with rc an not a bds like he has. Once i got it on I showed it to him an he was like "damn that's almost the same as mine I love it" yea we were 3" diff on the rti ramp. An I spent about half what he did.

Pretty funny because my mall crawler has 40's built-tons detroits ...bla,bla,bla ...can lift 40 tire 45 inches off ground b4 raising another ,and has a rusty's LA kit under it ...most stuff like leafs/coils are all the same through the various big brands I.E. Claytons/Rustys ...Rustys arms are 2inch .250 wall dom .I'm only doing Claytons b/c I'm doing his coil conversion otherwise would not be .

I don't understand why so many people bash RC, I know not all those people have used them, so why do you keep talking crap about them.
I would say the first thing you need to do is decide how high and if you want long arms or short arms.

i ordered the RC 4.5" full pack kit a year ago, i just installed it about a month ago. i had to order little things here and there to finish the install. anywho, if Rustys had a wallet friendly shipping rate i would of bought their kit. but for the money spent on a RC kit, you cant complain. yea it rides a lil stiff but hey its a short arm, and i dont plan on doing any hardcore crawling so im happy with my kit. these guys are right. do some research and pick a kit YOU want not what other members tell you to get. good luck bro..
