Default rust oleum protective enamel?

okay, so i am painting my new track bar and coils, i roughed em up with some sandpaper, primed them and then hit them with red rust oleum protective enamel(paint) the question i have is why does it take so long to dry, like hours after is sprayed them, it was still really sticky, is this normal with this paint?

Yep, takes a long time to dry. You are looking at around 4-5 days without clear and a week with clear.

It says to coat within an hour or what 24 hrs I believe. If I could do it again I would recoat once a day for a couple of days, clear a couple of days, then let them sit for a week before install. But you need to have spares in order to do that if you dd yours like me.

Powder coating is good option but just about any spray paint is going to need curing time (that I know of).
