Rubicon Express Warranty
Hey guys. I know it doesn't come across very often but I would like to leave a positive review for Rubicon Express.
So in like 2008, I bought a 6.5" kit from IRO. Included in this was RE joints, Leaf springs and coil springs.
Well yesterday I pulled my D44 off the rear and several pieces of my leaf springs came with it. The bottom leaf on both sides had cracked through and the crack went up through at least the next one. I noticed the RE part number (1461) on them so I gave both IRO and RE a call. IRO couldn't warranty REs part but offered me a really good deal on the leaf springs they now build/use. Sean at RE was at first hesitant but after sending him a few pictures, some more information and a few bucks for shipping, I have two new leaf springs in the mail.
I just wanted to give their warranty a thumbs up! Mine are almost 8 years old and they could have easily given me the "failure to torque" excuse but they didn't. They honored their lifetime warranty and I am not out another 400$.

Yea I am happy with how it turned out. After 8 years and 160,000 miles, they were sagging a bit and the bushings were getting rough.
REs only request was that I cut up the old ones... which is reasonable to me and I will do. They have been cracked for awhile I assume (all rusty) and were just held in tension by the ubolts. I assume it had to have been a bad batch of steel as it was both sides. Pretty sweet deal for me!
I will say, neither company responded to my emails in anything that resembled speed. The best bet is to call them, be politey firm and I had it resolved in one day.

Haha I don't know about China... Almost every single leaf spring out there is made in India or Canada. (notice how Rustys says "North America" vs USA). I don't know exactly where RE gets theirs*but more than likely one of the two. Even true American made parts are not 100% defect free.

The only ones I have ever heard of 100% being made in the USA are the fiberglass ones. Guy in the local club put them on his CJ. We will see how they hold up.
And yea... even IF a company was actually made in the US, more than likely the steel itself is imported. It is about the almighty dollar for everyone out there despite what they might say.

Yep. That'll happen. Where I work everyone wants MUSA but never wants to pay for it. I have found a few gems to be able to still satisfy myself while staying affordable and realistic.
